This sale covers a portfolio of grounds and garden maintenance contracts built up over 47 years. The round covers North West London, with further work in nearby counties.

The customers are on annual maintenance schedules. Some have been on the books for 10 years, others for 20, and several for more than 30. New customers have usually arrived through word of mouth.

Customers

The portfolio includes managing agents, housing associations, homeowners associations and residential developments. Other customers include UK head offices, industrial estates, commercial properties, retirement complexes and sheltered housing schemes.

Services

Regular work includes grounds maintenance, soft landscaping and seasonal outdoor planting. Tree surgery and fencing are handled through subcontractors.

How the portfolio can be run

The contracts are not tied to one business location. A buyer can manage the work from its own base and continue serving the existing area.

An established grounds maintenance, landscaping or property services company could add the portfolio to its current workload.

What is included

This is an asset sale. The contracts form the main part of the deal. Any other assets included will be listed and agreed with the buyer.

The company name and trading name are not included. The seller is keeping both names. Whoever buys the contracts must use a different trading name.
